Paranoia & Rage: Flossy and Bigfoot

An interview taken from WUSC FM’s show: Paranoia and Rage with the host UnionBell and a guest Florence Sky about her encounter with Big Foot in the Siskiyou Mountain range.

0:05 Flossy: Oh, you can call me Flossy. It's just, it's a cute little name that everyone gave me growing up.

0:11 UnionBell: You reached out to me to talk about Bigfoot in an encounter you had with him.

0:16 Flossy: I was so excited that you answered. Everyone thinks that I'm off my rocker but it really happened.

0:22 UnionBell: Well, what happened?

0:24 Flossy: OK, so I was over at the, at the Siskiyou mountain Range

UnionBell: Out in California.

0:32 Flossy: Yes, I was, it was a, it was a retreat because I, I have a little bit of the heart flutters and my doctor said, you know, I was one cheeseburger away from calling it. So they told me to go to this retreat so that way I could learn things and, and you know, be with nature, with nature,

UnionBell get some exercise.

0:52 Flossy: Yeah, I, I didn't know about that part but yeah, that happened too. And then one night, you know, I, this was naughty of me. I got up because I wanted to find a snack. So I went outside and it's California. You know, I think that there's gonna be celebrities and I look out and I think I see a star. You know, I don't know who it is. They're very tall, they're very pretty. But then I realized why, why is a grown man in the river? Why, why is he in the river touching?

UnionBell: You saw a grown man in the river?

1:26 Flossy: I thought I did it and this was,

UnionBell: this was during the night?

1:30 Flossy: It was, it must have been, I, I don't know, two or three in the morning.

UnionBell: So you get up 2 or 3 in the morning, you go out to look for a snack at the campground and you see the silhouette of a man in the river.

1:44 Flossy: I thought it was a man. He was covered in hair ago, completely covered in hair. He must have been, oh jeez. Over over 6’5’.

1:55 UnionBell: So a tall hair covered silhouette.

1:59 Flossy: Yes.

1:59 UnionBell: And then what happened?

2:01 Flossy: And I stepped on a branch, there was a little snap and he stopped and he looked towards me. I have never felt such fear. I thought I was scared when I saw Moose back home. But this was terrifying and he touched his chest.

2:20 UnionBell: He did, he touched his chest.

2:21 Flossy: He did. And I, I felt like we were communicating and I realized he was messing in the water. He pulled out, he pulled out some salmon and he had a clump in his hand. It might have been Roe but he tossed it to me and, and I caught it and he gestured to his mouth. So I'm thinking he was telling me to eat the Roe. So it was dark. I really needed a snack. I went ahead and went for it., I didn't mind. And then he, he tilted his head back and it was a full moon. You, you could see the, the lighting and he howled up and there was a

UnionBell: He Howled?

3:11 Flossy: he did, it was, it was like a, like a scream or, or a, or a cry, but it was, it was very deep. It, it resonated and there was a blue tint with the smoke that came out of his mouth. And I, I was just all, all torn up in, in shock. I ended up passing out.

3:24 UnionBell: You passed out? So you saw the, the silhouette of the, of the man or the creature hair covered that was gathering salmon, gave you some, some roe over the salmon and then you pass out?

3:40 Flossy: Now I did, I did.

3:43 UnionBell: Oh my goodness. UnionBell: And then you woke up, what do I mean, how long before you were awake again?

3:49 Flossy: By the time I came to it, it was it was daylight, the, the sun was starting to rise and people came looking for me because I wasn't in my bunk. And I told them what happened and, and they all just thought, oh, that, that's flossy. You know, she must have gone a little too far with the bourbon, which I have gotten very good at that.Now, that is not a problem anymore. So, nobody believed me. They, they said I must have seen a deer or a bear and I was lucky that I didn't get malt.

4:20 UnionBell: Oh, my goodness. So, no, none of your, none of the people you were camping with,, believed you at, at all about what you saw.

4:27 Flossy: None of them believed me. None of them saw what I saw. I, I just, I, I didn't know what to do. So I finished the retreat. I went back home. I had an appointment with my cardiologist and you know, it's the craziest thing. My heart flutters are gone.

4:45 UnionBell: They're gone?

4:46 Flossy: they're gone. My doctor says I have the heart of a 25 year old. It, it just blew my mind. It was insane and I tried to explain to him what happened and nobody believed me. It wasn't until your show that I realized I saw a sasquatch,

UnionBell: a sasquatch?

5:06 Flossy: That's what I believe it was. It fits the description.

5:11 UnionBell: And can you take us back to that? Can you describe the sasquatch a little more that you saw?

5:16 UnionBell: You say he was 6 ft five and hair covered.

5:19 Flossy: He, he easily was taller than 6 ft five. That's just, that's just how tall my Jeff is. So I know he was bigger than Jeff and he had long scraggly brown hair. It was, it was matted it, he clearly doesn't brush it. But it, it was covering his entire body. I his, his hands, his, his legs and

5:44 UnionBell: it was a male figure.

5:45 Flossy: Yeah, definitely. I, I'm thinking because I didn't see anything that looks like a lady part.
