The start of the new year has me reflecting on the music of the past. What were people like me listening to in the 90’s? The 80’s? The 70’s? I find myself searching back to times before me to get a glimpse into the lives of my parents and grandparents. Through my endless search of family memories, old records, and mixes, I have found a love for 70’s music. Shows like this past spring’s Daisy Jones and the Six took me back in time, reminiscing on a time period that is only imaginary to me. My father’s music recommendations took me to a time of eclectic fashion, experimental music, and an American cultural movement that would become iconic for the decade. Who would I have been at that time? I escape to the past with a mix of music that is truly and unapologetically Seventies. Enjoy!
