Fall Break is a wonderful break in the semester where all USC students get a long weekend to rest, relax, and recharge after midterms. If you didn't know already, fall break has only existed since 1988, when the student body president Jim Franklin left his mark on the university by creating the mid semester break. I went to see Renee Rapp in Charlotte! It was a great show with openers Towa Bird and Alexander 23. The venue had great chicken tenders. Then I went to a pumpkin patch with my girlfriend. And I got to see my mom, sister and grandpa back home and grab my sweaters for fall.

This weekend, I went camping near Asheville with my dear ol’ dad. I ate a copious amount of strawberries from a steel mug. I stared at the sky and the ground and the stuff in between. I also caught a Bella White & Band of Horses concert at the Rabbit Rabbit!

I went to Aruba during Fall Break as part of my (Honors) University 101 class. I learned about sustainability in Aruba from presentations by PhD candidates at the University of Aruba and helped plant a mangrove tree on the beach. I also got to go scuba diving and on a sunrise hike. We had some free time to spend exploring the island, too, and I had a really great time learning about and experiencing Aruba with my class!

I went to Virginia and Washington DC with my boyfriend. We toured all the memorials and went to the Holocaust Museum.

I went to the Charlotte FC vs Miami CF soccer game and got to see Messi play. Our team (Charlotte) won and clinched a post season spot!

I went camping with my dad at lake Hartwell. We went fishing, the weather was nice so I went on a long run, and we enjoyed some good food around a camp fire.

I went to the suburbs of Atlanta to visit my cohost DJ Daus! We went to a pumpkin patch, I tried sushi for the first time, and we spent lots of quality time with family!

i went with dj mad aux to greenville for her birthday weekend. we went to caesar’s head and a local music festival at melon barn! had an incredible time in the mountains <33

I went to NYC with my family! I visited some extended family in New Jersey, and did all the touristy fun in New York like going to times square and seeing a broadway show.

I went back home to the Upstate for break. I went on a mountain trip to see the sunrise, saw my high school marching band perform, got a haircut, and carved a pumpkin!

DJ Iz and our roommate, Jackie, went on a road trip to Alabama over the break!! We visited old friends and spent time touring the campus in Tuscaloosa!! We were also able to stop in Atlanta in our way home and visit my family!! We definitely needed the escape and it was so nice to see a new place with my favorite people :))
